Programme Introduction
Engage Engineering principles to improve the quality of life
Offered by the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the LKS Faculty of Medicine, this programme seeks to empower the next generation of engineers to apply engineering principles and advance biomedical practices and research. Your interdisciplinary education will cover basic sciences, mathematics, engineering, and life sciences plus a broad scope of modern BME disciplines.
During four years of study, you will take foundational courses in electrical or mechanical engineering, biochemistry, and life sciences. Inclusive BME training will cover quantitative and design-oriented analysis to tackle biomedical diagnostic or therapeutic problems and offer exposure to a wide variety of advanced BME topics, including tissue engineering, biomaterial and biotransport, bioinformatics, and biomedical imaging technologies or applications, among others.
Following graduation, you can apply to our Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme in the LKS Faculty of Medicine with two years exemption, provided you meet the requirements and pass the required assessment.
