Your Five-year Study
Be admitted to HKU Faculty of Engineering.
HKU will nominate students for assessment by the University of Cambridge. Following a written test and interview, nominated students who meet the entry conditions will be accepted for entry to Cambridge in year three. If you don’t meet the requirements, you will remain at HKU to complete the Bachelor of Engineering.
Study Engineering in their first year of study at the University of Cambridge.
Upon completion of this year’s study at Cambridge, you may apply for a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge.
Study Master of Engineering at Cambridge. Upon completion, you will receive a Master of Engineering from the University of Cambridge and also may apply for a BENG degree from HKU.
Tuition fees are to be paid to each host institution (two years at HKU and three years at Cambridge) and are fixed at the time of enrolment.

How to Apply
If you wish to apply to the dual degree programme, please first apply to HKU’s Faculty of Engineering and enter your preferred Bachelor of Engineering programme as your top choice. Following your admission to the Faculty of Engineering, you can apply to enter this scheme. Applicants have to pass both preliminary screening at HKU and selection by Cambridge. Unsuccessful candidates will continue their studies at HKU.
